Add a setting to stop nearby/local chat from flashing the Conversations toolbar button, highlighting the Nearby tab, playing the new-message sound, or flashing the taskbar. Nearby chat is often busy and not directed at the user.

  • Keep name/keyword mentions as an exception (separate toggle: 'still notify when my name or a keyword is mentioned in nearby chat').
  • Independent of the IM/group notification settings.
