Profiled with Nsight Graphics GPU Trace + shader profiler on an RTX 5090 (full GI scene, ~61 FPS, GPU ~16.3 ms/frame). The GPU Trace timeline shows ~4 fully idle gaps per frame (around 2.3, 5, 10-10.5 and 14.7 ms of a 17 ms frame), each at a cross-queue semaphore wait, about 1 ms of idle GPU per frame in total.
Find which waits cause them and reorder or retime the work (submit order, earlier signals, moving independent work across) so neither queue drains while waiting.
Done when: total GPU frame time drops at the same scene and the trace shows the gaps gone or shorter.
