Found by the #1039 design survey (copies of the same code that have drifted apart). The shared walk library planned as #1039 step M0 removes the duplicate.

Minor duplication found by the survey: the cluster-rig lift probe exists three times, the closest-hit walk three times, and the god-ray sun ray is another copy of the single-ray core. Consolidate into the shared walk library. Found by the #1039 design survey (copies of the same code that have drifted apart). The shared walk library planned as #1039 step M0 removes the duplicate.
