Environment

Slipstream Beta 1.5.0.1 (64bit) (SSE4_2)
Microsoft Windows 11 64-bit (Build 22621.4317)

Description

When you save or load a graphic preset on the Graphics tab in the Preferences (or through the monitor icon to the right of the top bar), many of the settings found in the Advanced Settings won't change regardless of what's loaded. Here are the ones I tested and found to not be registered as a change on graphic presets:

  • Cluster LOD for avatars
  • Render lights attached to avatars
  • Render particles attached to avatars
  • Texture compression
  • Texture memory
  • Maximum LOD resolution
  • Global illumination
  • Global illumination's resolution
  • Shadow denoiser
  • Shadow from all lights
  • Ambient occlusion method (SSAO, GTAO, RTAO)
  • Standard AO strength
  • GTAO quality
  • Specular occlusion
  • Volumetric fog
  • Volumetric clouds
  • Fog from particles
  • God rays
  • Weather quality
  • Ray-traced reflection fallback
  • Sampled light in reflections
  • Max Reflection Probes (their resolution does get saved, however)
  • Probe compression
  • Mirrors
  • Mirror Resolution
  • Mirror Update Rate
  • Mirror capture scale
  • Particles cast shadows
  • Low-resolution particles
  • Custom render scale (on Upscaling and sharpening)
  • HDR and Emissive
  • Automatic exposure
  • Tone Mapping Mix
  • Bloom / glow
  • Bloom strength
  • Bloom threshold
  • Bloom keep colour
  • Hue-preserving highlights
  • Blur things in front of the focus (Depth of Field, which this setting depends on, does get recognized as a change, however)
  • Motion blur
  • Shutter time (s)
  • Cel shading
  • Cel Outline Width

Reproduction steps

Here's how you can test which settings don't get saved as a change in graphic presets:

  1. If you haven't already, save a graphic preset.
  2. Go to Preferences (can be done with Ctrl+P) > Graphics > Advanced Settings...
  3. For each setting that you find in the Advanced Graphics Preferences window, try changing the value from what it is.
  4. Click on the monitor icon on the top right of the interface, that should list your Graphics Presets. If the change you just made was tracked by the graphics preset, that list shouldn't show a check mark next to the graphic preset you just saved. Otherwise, it will remain with a check mark despite the change.
