Description
Firestorm (in particular versions 7.2.4 and later) has features that allow a user to easily align the direction their avatar is facing with global cardinal directions, as well as make them face towards nearby avatars. Of importance is that all those orientation changes happen server-side: everyone nearby can see the avatar being rotated around by those features.
Most of the avatar alignment features can be accessed through a window named Compass, which contains a compass which can be clicked to align the avatar to cardinal directions, as well as buttons to increment/decrement the rotation by specific amounts. The Compass can be accessed through a toolbar button. The Face nearest avatar feature, which does what the name implies, can be accessed by a button on the Compass, and also by its own toolbar button.
Attached is a video showcasing how the Compass works, as well as the Face nearest avatar feature. Also, an image of the Compass window by itself.
