Want: turning off Show Selection Outlines in the Edit (Build) window should only last while that window is open. Closing the Edit window and opening it again should bring the outlines back on.
Today: the checkbox writes
RenderHighlightSelections. It is alreadyPersist=0, so it resets on restart, but within a session it stays off: close and reopen the Edit window and the outlines are still hidden. That makes it easy to forget, and selecting things later with no outline looks like a bug.Where:
floater_tools.xml(controlRenderHighlightSelections)LLSelectMgr(llselectmgr.cpp,silhouettesEnabled())menu_viewer.xml(~line 2017)Fix: when the Edit window closes (
LLFloaterTools::onClose), setRenderHighlightSelectionsback to its default (on). Decide whether the menu toggle should follow the same rule (suggest yes: one setting, one behaviour).Test: open Edit, untick Show Selection Outlines, close Edit, reopen it -> the box is ticked and selected objects show outlines.
