Removed: the havok-source, llphysicsextensions_source and llphysicsextensions_tpv 3p packages (Linden Lab private downloads that failed in every Windows build) and the Havok CMake paths. We have always built with the open stub (llphysicsextensions_stub), so nothing that worked before stopped working.

What Havok provides in LL's viewer

  • Mesh uploader physics: Havok convex decomposition ("Analyze") and physics-mesh simplification. We already replace the decomposition with V-HACD (llconvexdecompositionvhacd, the "physics analysis vhacd" panel). Havok's simplification step is the part we lack.
  • Pathfinding visualisation: the Pathfinding console's navmesh / walkability / obstacle rendering (LLPathingLib). With the stub, the console works for linkset/character management but can't draw the navmesh.
  • Region physics itself is server-side and unaffected.

To add it back

  • Linden Lab offers a Havok sublicence to TPV developers (the llphysicsextensions_tpv prebuilt). It requires an agreement with LL; ask during the TPV Directory application (#214).
  • Alternatively, draw the navmesh ourselves from the navmesh asset the region already sends (Recast-style rendering), with no Havok needed.
  • Restore the CMake HAVOK_TPV path from history if we get the sublicence.
