From the LL-origin inefficiency audit (finding U15). File/line references are from commit
0229f8872c; re-locate them before working. Each new IM session builds its full floater plus a sync
loadHistoryon its first message, even if never viewedllfloaterimsessiontab.cpp:189-227;llfloaterimcontainer.cpp:143-160.Verify the cost (profile or timer) before and after changing it.
Pushed to main at
07c8a3ac73. Chat history is now read from disk in pages on a background thread, and IM floaters are built only when first opened. To test: IM storm with unopened floaters (toasts, unread counts), relog and restore open IMs.Shipped in a published release and tested; closing (testing-lane sweep 2026-10-11).
