Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Symptom: in any inventory window other than the main one, Copy does nothing, so Paste has nothing to paste. Each attempt logs:
WARNING #Inventory# llinventoryfunctions.cpp(3384) doToSelected : Menu tried to operate on empty selectionLLInventoryAction::doToSelectedthen resets the clipboard. The main inventory window works normally. Not caused by:
SLInventoryUpdateHiddenPanelsset to TRUE.Likely cause: the secondary window's context-menu or Edit-menu action is dispatched to a different panel's folder root (for example the main window's panel, or the wrong tab of the secondary
LLPanelMainInventory), and that root has an empty selection.Done when: Copy/Paste, Cut and every other context-menu action work in secondary inventory windows (both the + new window and a folder opened in its own window), and the main window is unchanged.
Reopening for work: still reproduces on current builds (Copy in a secondary inventory window does nothing). Back to To Do.
Fixed and verified by the owner on 2026-10-10: copy/paste from the context menu works in a secondary inventory window (commit
65dec7d8fb, pushed to main). Menu actions now act on the folder view whose context menu is open, not the main inventory panel; no inventory server writes were changed.
