Being investigated.
Fix pushed to main: particles never follow a recycled emitter slot (recycling is now time-based, not frame-based, which mattered at high frame rates), and each spawn is emitted exactly once. Needs a retest by the reporter.

Back in progress: the slot-recycling fix (
7343f917f2, shipped in Beta 8) did not resolve this. The reporter's Beta 8 retest still shows it, and their follow-up points at emission itself (emitters ignoring the burst count / rate, firing continuously). Investigating the GPU particle emission path against LL's emitter semantics, with a particle test rig covering the emitter configurations.Fix
8e7cc69794(on release/1.3, the 1.3 hotfix line, and on the dev branch):RenderVKParticleAuditsetting: per emitter, LL-expected vs actual spawns per second and live counts.Verified with a 22-configuration LSL test rig (burst timing, patterns, accel, follow velocity / source, bounce, wind, target / linear target, ribbon, interpolation, blend, omega, source max age). Spawn rates and live counts match LL's formula in every test. Ribbon and flame looks match the Alchemy (LL GL) viewer side by side.
The emitter over-emission (fireflies) did not reproduce on the rig. Could you retest the flame palms and the fireflies once this ships?
Fixed in Slipstream 1.3.0 (stable): https://git.slipstreamviewer.org/sky_line/Slipstream/releases/tag/v1.3.0
