Build: scale handles don't appear in edit mode (Ctrl+Shift) #153

In edit mode, holding Ctrl+Shift (or choosing Stretch in the Build floater) should show the scale handles: the corner and face boxes on the selection's bounding box, used to resize the object. They don't appear.

To check

  • Whether the stretch manipulator (LLManipScale, llmanipscale.cpp) is active and only failing to draw, or not activating at all. Test: does dragging where a handle should be still resize the object?
  • Drawing: under Vulkan, the manipulators draw in the world-overlay pass (uiRender in llappviewer.cpp calls renderSelections against the world depth). Check that LLManipScale::render goes through that pass, and look at its depth test / LLGLDepthTest and any bindManual texture use. bindManual is a no-op under Vulkan; see #144 and #148 (the move tool's snap grid) for the same class of bug.
  • Compare with the move (translate) and rotate manipulators, which draw. The difference between them and scale points at the cause.
  • Whether scale is gated on a render/debug flag, or on the UI feature bit, that Vulkan never sets.
