Environment

Slipstream Beta 1.0.0.8 (64bit) (SSE4_2)
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 11 64-bit (Build 22621.4317)

Description

Searching for outfits in the My Outfits tab of the Apperance menu by name has inconsistent results. When starting to type a search term from scratch, it works as it could be expected. However, when something is added to the search term that would make it not include the name of an outfit, that outfit will be removed from the search results even after the search term is rewritten to be something that would include that outfit again. Only deleting the search term entirely seems to reset this behavior.

It can be noted that even after the bug is set up, the results of the search will still include outfits that have the search term in the name of one of the items that are part of the outfit. The issue is with searching by the name of the outfit itself.

Of note, Firestorm used to have this bug too. It was fixed in relatively recent versions, such as 7.2.4.

Included is a video of a way it happens on my end.

Reproduction steps

  1. Open the Appearance window (can be open with Ctrl+O), and go to the My Outfits tab.
  2. On the Filter Outfits search bar, start typing a word that's in the name of one or more outfits you own. For example, if you have multiple outfits with "Pinkie Pie" in the name, type "Pinkie".
  3. Add something to what you just typed on the outfit search bar that makes it so it isn't a term that's found in the name of the outfit anymore. In the example, that could be adding a "b" at the end to make it "Pinkieb". That should make the "Pinkie Pie" outfits disappear from the search results, as they should.
  4. Now, try to correct the typo without deleting the whole search term. In the example, that could be just backspacing the "b" to make it "Pinkie" again.
  5. If the outfits with "Pinkie Pie" in the name didn't reappear in the search results, then the bug happened.
